WELCOME to my blog

Good morning. Please allow me, first, to welcome you on MY COUCH.  I guess you're wondering where I came up with my blog name.  I like catchy phrases, things that help people remember either people, places or things. Just so you know, I've been selling real estate for just shy of 10 years.  I used to send out  a Newsletter called Cordell's Couch.  It included bits and pieces about the Real Estate Industry, but it also included personal things about me or my family, including the life with a child who has Celiac and the learning process of eating Gluten Free. It allowed people to sit with me on my couch, chat, and just have a window into my life.  SO - Hence, my blog name.  I just kept it.  Sly, eh? NAW. I wouldn't call it that.  I'd just call it lack of creativity for a blog name.  HA.

SO - here I am, beginning a blog, called Cordell's Couch. Second, let me officially introduce myself.  I'm a mom, a Realtor, an actor, a former homeschooler, a wife, and your friend. I'm also working to start producing some short films and I have a strong faith in God. I live in Kansas City and love it.  I am married and have 3 kids, one of them with Celiac. You may ask, what sets your blog apart from all the other blogs out there? I have no idea. I don't claim to be the best writter, so I hope you're not expecting a fabulous writing style.  I don't claim to the be best mother either. And, lastly, I don't claim to be an expert in really much of anything.  I'm just a lady and a business woman who loves what I do and is on a journey to make my goals become LIFE and to be the best I can be, in my life journey.  AND, the scary part at times, is that I'm known to just be 'real'. I'm inviting you to join with me and enter into my life, sit on my couch and, rest assured, I'm hoping it won't be boring.  AND, maybe I'll learn something while lisening to YOU and your comments.

It's 2 days before Christmas.  I've got the normal parties, lunches, gift exchanges and present wrapping that any other family has who is living around loved ones.  The year is drawing to an end, which means, for me, trying to set goals for 2011. I'm very visionary and usually design my vision board with pictues that tell story of what I want my year to look like.  I have named 2011 "Strengthen My Hands'. I'll comment more on that later. But, I feel it's going to be a growing year for me. There are a lot of things I'd like to accomplish, so I need strength.  And, who better to get it from than God. So, get your vision board out with me, start posting and planning.  If I'm brave, maybe I'll post some of what I have on mine later.

In the meantime, welcome, enjoy your day and come back and sit on my couch anytime. I look forward to chatting with you.
